Rapid Acute Toxicity Analysis in Wastewater

Wastewater analysis often involves sampling at several points. The types of wastewater treated by the plant will determine what needs to be tested. When there are industrial wastes or other toxicity potentials entering the system, a screening test using rapid toxicity tests such as the BioLight reagent (Aliivibrio fischeri) and the BioLight Toxy analyzer is a good form of screening that allows on-site decisions to be made, without the need to send samples to the laboratory.
