Each of the viscometers is supplied with an internal spring that is used to calculate the viscosity of a material. These springs have different measurement capabilities:
LV is for low viscosity materials and can measure thinner materials. For example: inks, oils and solvents.
RV is for medium viscosity materials. For example: creams, foods and paints.
HA is for materials of higher viscosity than those measured with an RV torque. For example: gels, chocolate and epoxy resins.
HB is for materials of even higher viscosity than those measured with an HA torque spring. For example: asphalt, caulking compounds and molasses.
Note: Additional special springs are also available upon request.
