The new Model 91600-4 Filtration Tester (MFT) is a fully automatic instrument designed to measure the Filter Blocking Tendency (FBT) of diesel, biodiesel (B100 and B5/7/20/30), gasoil, gas turbine fuel and kerosene.
Ease of operation
Simple user interface with color touch screen and fully automatic measurements, requiring minimal user knowledge and training. Real-time measurement progress is displayed and results can be stored internally, saved directly to USB or exported using QR code or LIMS for further data analysis. Integrated Statistical Quality Control (SQC) software allows analysis according to ASTM D6299.
Cost savings
Due to the simplicity of the setup and test procedure, it requires little attention from the user, allowing the operator to concentrate on other tasks and thus reducing labor cost. The MFT takes up minimal space on the lab bench, leaving free space for other instruments.
Precision and accuracy
The MFT's fully automatic test sequence and uniform sample handling ensure repeatability and reproducibility. Potential missed steps or operator bias are eliminated for accurate results.
Calibration and verification
Calibration of the MFT can be performed in the field, eliminating the costs and time associated with shipping the instrument to a service center.
Compliance with ASTM D2068
The MFT has been designed to fully comply with ASTM D2068. Features include internal grounding for user safety, piston pump including mechanical and electronic precision adjustment and flow calibration, with locking mechanism. Pulse dampener to produce a smooth flow of fuel to the filter unit and a pressure release valve located on the arm that holds the filter assembly. Stanhope-Seta is proud to have participated in the Interlaboratory Study (ILS) called for in ASTM D2068 and IP 387. Accuracy was obtained only by using Seta MFT for procedure B.
