Manual glass viscometers

All CANNON glass capillary viscometers are traceable to a NIST calibration and are manufactured in the A2LA accredited, ISO 9001 registered laboratory. CANNON Instrument Company has been manufacturing glass capillary viscometers since 1938 and, since no single viscometer is ideal for every application, they offer a wide variety of glass capillary viscometers. Viscometer options:

• Transparent: For transparent / translucent liquids
• Suspended level: For transparent / translucent liquids. Ideal for testing at multiple temperatures because they have the same constant viscometer at all temperatures.
• Dilution: For dilution of polymer solutions to provide an estimate of molecular size and shape.
• Reverse flow: For clear and opaque liquids. Must be cleaned, dried and refilled between repeated determinations.
• Vacuum: A special type of reverse flow viscometer for highly viscous (transparent or opaque) samples. A precisely controlled vacuum is required to draw the liquid through the viscometer.
