Autonomous Surfbee Platform, Flow Scout II

Autonomous vehicle designed for shallow water, up to 14 cm deep. It has three underwater thrusters with a maximum speed of 2 m/s, 0.8 m/s lateral. Difficult conditions, such as windy areas or slow channels, are no problem for this vessel. It ensures reliable performance and accurate data collection. The Surfbee app enables advanced maneuvers and features an onboard camera. The Flow Scout is an excellent tool for both moving boat and stationary measurements.

• Designed for maximum reliability: It has a maximum speed of 2 m/s and moves smoothly both forward and sideways and adjusts to changing conditions without user intervention. The result is straight transverse lines that are easily picked up setting waypoints and allowing the boat to take over navigation.
• Advanced and accurate vessel control: Whether it is a moving vessel or stationary ADCP measurements with the SonTek M9 and RS5 ADCPs, the Flow Scout USV allows waypoints and vessel speed to be set via the Surfbee application running on the handheld transmitter's color display, ensuring reliable and consistent measurements.
• Improved and safer workflows: The Flow Scout USV presents field measurement teams with a safer way to perform their work, yet it also adds key functionalities that improve the ADCP data collection technique and thus the quality of the data.
• Flexible adjustment options: GNSS RTK and differential corrections options can be used with position data outputs shared between the USV and ADCP, allowing simplified and streamlined workflows
