2-position ASA automatic stability analyzer.
Standard method for determination of Maximum Flocculation Ratio of Asphaltenes and Peptization for residual fuel oils and heavy oils by optical detection method.
Allows accurate measurement of the stability reserve - "P" value and the compatibility of the individual components of the mixture.
Prediction of stability parameters avoids undesirable asphaltene formation for improved production.
Method of analysis:
The operator prepares several dilutions of the oil in 1-methylnaphthalene.
Each of them is analyzed by automatic cetane dosing up to the determination of flocculation by means of a fiber optic sensor.
The data are processed in the included software to determine the available dissolving capacity of the oil.
