The AR4 determines the refractive index between 1,3000- 1,7200 nD and the sugar content in the range of 0-95 %Brix.

The refractometer can be connected to a thermostat, e.g. our PT31 circulation thermostat with Peltier element, for temperature control at 20 °C or 25 °C. The temperature is determined with the integrated digital thermometer and displayed on the LCD.

  • Simple operation and low sample throughput.
  • Very robust. Supplied with calibration glass sheet, contact liquid and screwdriver.
  • Ideal for solid, viscous and liquid samples (transparent and opaque).
  • Measurement of refractive index nD, dispersion nF-nC and solid matter content in Brix is possible, as well as prism temperability.
  • The measurement procedure is based on the Abbe measurement principle.
  • Includes digital thermometer.
  • Complies with ASTM D1218
