CGR – General Conditions of Repair
1. Scope
These general repair conditions apply to all repairs and calibrations performed by Instrumentación Analítica, S.A. (hereinafter “Instru”) for the Client. The particular conditions negotiated and agreed in writing between Instru and the Client shall prevail over these general conditions. Any modification or addition to these conditions shall only be recognized if accepted in writing by a legal representative of Instru. The Client accepts and acknowledges the contents of these conditions. Instru reserves the right to modify these conditions or other specifications without prior notice.
2. Services Offered
- Repair: Includes all activities and procedures necessary for the repair of equipment, performed by our technical staff.
- Preventive Maintenance: Consists of an annual visit (or as agreed in the maintenance offer) by accredited technicians, in addition to the maintenance and control of the contracted equipment. This visit will be made on the date agreed upon by both parties, and may be anticipated at the Client’s request. The maintenance works will be those specified by the manufacturer in their service manuals, in the standard or in Instru’s procedures. It includes the revision and cleaning for its correct operation, according to the manufacturer’s specifications. The equipment must be in proper working order at the time of overhaul. This maintenance excludes breakdowns or damage due to misuse, knocks or falls of the equipment, as well as those due to fires, floods or catastrophes. Also excluded are breakdowns, deviations or failures caused by the use of spare parts, consumables and non-original materials from the manufacturer. Maintenance contracts are valid for one year and may be renewed at the end of their term, subject to adjustment of the annual amount and in agreement with both parties.
- Calibration: Instru offers a calibration service with ENAC certified equipment, guaranteeing the traceability and accuracy of the results. We have a laboratory accredited by ENAC to perform Rotational Viscosity calibrations, defined in the technical annex according to Standard 17025 UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation number 214/LC10.164. Soon, we will also have ENAC calibration in Temperature.
- Radiological Rate Measurement: According to the Regulation on Nuclear and Radioactive Installations (R.D. 1836/1999, R.D. 35/2008 and its modification R.D. 1217/2024, of December 3rd), we offer a specialized service in radiological rate measurement aimed at laboratories using X-Ray fluorescence analyzers, guaranteeing the safety of their working environment, personnel protection and compliance with the applicable legal provisions. We have a Supervisor and two Operators accredited by the CSN (Nuclear Safety Council).
3. Service Process
- Service Request: The Client will contact Instru to schedule the intervention.
- Initial Assessment and Quotation: Instru will perform a preliminary analysis and provide a detailed quotation. Repair estimates will be valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue and will expire automatically, except in case of force majeure, hidden defect or failure not detected in the initial diagnosis; in this case an extension of the estimate will be provided. All repair estimates are guaranteed for 3 months. The prices of the estimates generally do not include transport costs within the Iberian Peninsula or transport outside Spain. Quotations that are not accepted will be subject to an inspection fee of 68€ + VAT. In case of acceptance, the Customer must send confirmation of order by any written means: e-mail or letter.
- Execution of the Service: Instru’s technicians will carry out the service according to the established procedures.
- Detailed Report: A technical report will be delivered with the results of the intervention, recommendations and pertinent certifications.
- After Sales Support: Instru offers after sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal performance of the equipment.
4. Transportation
The shipping of the equipment to and from the Client, as well as the correct packaging and insurance, are the Client’s responsibility. Instru is not responsible for any damage that may occur to the equipment during transport. In the event that Instru observes any damage, the Client will be notified.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Ensure access to equipment and provide all relevant information on its condition and use.
- Comply with maintenance recommendations to preserve the integrity of the equipment.
- Follow the instructions of the technical service to optimize the performance of the instrument.
6. Costs and Forms of Payment
- Services will be billed according to the current tariff and the agreed conditions.
- Prior acceptance of the quotation will be required before any intervention is carried out.
- Payment methods will be flexible and adapted to the Client’s needs.
