ASTM D1655 and D7566 (25a) standards now allow the flash point of aviation fuel to be measured using Eraflash equipment in accordance with ASTM D7094. This parameter is key to safety and must not be less than 38 °C. The ASTM D7094 method offers greater accuracy and reproducibility than traditional methods, as well as increased safety, speed and lower sample volume, representing a step forward in aviation fuel specification.
